Everything is the same regardless of who you are.
In most pumping apps, "free" is the trial that funnels you toward a subscription. Sessions are gated, analysis is gated, export is gated, the most useful screen tends to be gated. MommyRon doesn't have any of that machinery, so there's nothing to put behind a wall.
Unlimited pump sessions
No session cap. The 51st session is exactly the same as the first.
Full breast milk stash tracker
Every fridge and freezer item, every expiry alert, every FIFO rotation. No item limit.
Wake-through-silent alarms
AlarmKit-backed alarms that ring through Silent and Do Not Disturb. Not a premium feature.
CSV and PDF export
Export your full session history at any time, free. Bring it to your IBCLC or paediatrician.
On-device companion
Apple Intelligence-powered companion messages — generated on your iPhone, free.
No ads, ever
No banner ads, no interstitials, no sponsored content, no upsells. It's not in the business model.
No servers. No analytics SDKs. Nothing to pay for as you scale.
Most "free" apps end up paid because their infrastructure cost grows with their user base. Every new install means another database row, another analytics event, another email delivery, another support ticket about a forgotten password. The founders eventually have to charge to keep the lights on.
MommyRon doesn't have any of that. There's no backend. There's no user database because there are no accounts. There's no analytics pipeline because we don't collect anything. There's no email infrastructure because we never email you. The app is a small Swift binary that runs on your phone. Doubling the install base costs us nothing.
That's not a marketing flourish — it's the architecture. Privacy and free are the same decision, made twice.
Free pump tracker questions
Is MommyRon really 100% free?
Yes. There is no paywall, no subscription, no premium tier, no trial period, no ads, and no in-app purchases. Every feature — pump session tracking, the breast milk stash manager, wake-through-silent alarms, CSV and PDF export, and on-device Apple Intelligence companion messages — works the same for everyone who installs the app.
Will it stay free?
MommyRon has no servers, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party services that get more expensive as more people install it. That structural simplicity is what lets us keep it free. We have no plans to introduce a paid tier, ads, or sponsorships.
Is there a Pro version with extra features?
No. We deliberately avoided a two-tier model. Splitting features into Free and Pro tends to push the most useful tools (export, reminders, stash) behind a paywall, which is exactly the friction we wanted to avoid for exclusively pumping moms.
How do you make money?
Right now, we don't. MommyRon is built and maintained by Medianeth as a small, focused side project. If the app helps you, the best thing you can do is leave an honest App Store review and tell another EP mom about it. We may add an entirely optional 'tip the dev' link inside the app at some point, but it will never gate functionality.
How does this compare to Pump Log, Huckleberry, or Baby Tracker?
Pump Log is free for the first ~50 sessions, then asks for an unlock fee. Huckleberry is freemium with a paid 'Premium' tier that gates the most-used analysis features. Baby Tracker is paid up front on iOS. MommyRon is free, with no upgrade path, and is exclusive-pumping-first rather than nursing-first. See the full comparison on the blog.
No paywall. No "upgrade to". Just download.
